4th of July

July 4, 2010 will be another splendid Independence Day celebration with great on-stage entertainment! And added to that live entertainment will be everything you could hope for in a memorable Independence Day Celebration: great food, crafts, the Stars, Bars and Classic Cars Show, Grand Parade, the Cherry Bomb Fun Run, of course that famous 1/2-ton Giant Cherry Pie, kids games, and a Petting Zoo that your kids will love! AND for the first time in several years, we'll get to welcome back the Wenatchee Youth Circus for a special afternoon performance! To top it all off, we'll have those fabulous FIREWORKS at dusk! Watch this space for updates!

A special Thank You goes to the entire GCH board and all the volunteers who always work so diligently to make this day possible!

One other great thing about our celebration: it doesn't cost a penny to get in! That's right, we never charge an admission fee to this event. But, like Freedom (which is never free), there is a cost. Our expenses for putting on this ultimately family-friendly event ran upwards of $10,000 last year, and we are asking for your help. 7 a.m. - Construction of Giant Cherry Pie at Rotary Pie Pavilion
7:30 – Registration for Cherry Bomb Run
8:30 Start time for CBR
9 a.m. - Parade registration/line-up
10:00 – Parade; Food Booths open
11 a.m. - Ringing of Freedom Bell; VFW Color Guard, Flag Raising + salute; National Anthem by Kennadi Hawes

11:15 – Children's Game Booths open;

Noon – Giant Cherry Pie served (free!)
